Well, I'm 14 weeks today so that means that I am officially in my 2nd trimester. Honestly, the 1st trimester was kind of a breeze...especially when I compare it to some of the stories I've heard. The past couple of weeks since my 12 week check up have been good. I've had more energy and my nausea has pretty much dimished. I'm so glad!
Last week we went to Disney World. I was very worried about all of the heat but I actually did pretty ok. It was Steve's first time so I wanted him to feel like he got the most out of the experience and I didn't wanna be a party pooper. The day we went to Magic Kingdom was great...very overcast and we were in shaded or air conditioned waiting areas most of the time. It was supposed to rain that day, but it held off until about 4:30 in the afternoon. My sweet hubby carried a heavy backpack with waters, snacks, etc... around all day. I felt so bad for him! The next day we hung out at the hotel pool then went to City Walk & Universal that night. We got to go to a live taping of Family Feud which was really really cool!! Steve Harvey is the new host and the show we viewed will be on Sept. 23. I wish we could have been contestants!!! The next day we went to Universal early in the morning to ride all the rides. It was SOOO hot!! There were several things I could not ride so me and mama just sat in shady areas and waited on Steve & daddy. We wound up having to leave a little early b/c the heat was just draining me!! Overall, it was a very fun trip. I felt so much better than I did last month when we went to Cancun.
BABY NOTES:
-I still don't feel like there is anything in my belly!! I can't wait til I can feel it kicking!
-I go back to the doc in 2 weeks, then in 2 more weeks to find out what it is...I'm so impatient and I just cant wait. I think it is going to make it all seem more real. Plus I'm ready to call it something!!
-While we were gone, I got a sleeper at target for the baby. It is yellow with a little duck on it and it says "squeeze me"
-Right now I have 3 friends that are pregnant. It's kinda cool to be able to talk about all of this fun stuff (and not so fun stuff) with other girls.
-Me and mama picked out the fabric to recover the rocking chair...it is chocolate brown with tan swirls..very neutral b/c this rocking chair will probably be in our bedroom & living room a lot.
-Steve continues to say, "It's a boy, it's a boy" I want a girl but I know how much I adore my nephew Jack so a boy would be wonderful too. I just hope Steve isn't disappointed if it's a girl.
-So far, we do have a tentative boy name...Tyler Chad Tittle and call him "Ty"...Chad was my brother's name & we both really like Ty. Steve says Ty Tittle sounds like a big football player :-)
As for girl names...we just haven't decided on one that we both agree on yet. I'm not gonna worry too much about it until we find out the sex
-I think I may have gained a couple of lbs on vacation...I've gotta start eating a little heathier. I know I 'm gonna gain weight but I would like for it to be "baby weight" not "Ashley you've been eating too much junk weight"
Well that is about all I have for now. I'm sure I'll post again after my 16 week doctor visit. I'm so happy about sharing the details of this amazing journey with my friends and family!! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. :-)
I'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteJust a note...Tyler is a beautiful name for a boy or girl!
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie!
ReplyDeleteIt's a boy! Little Tyler, how sweet. As I just told Steve. I started to write you a week ago and tease you that I had a feeling that you were going to have a boy! I love you all 3! Gran D
